We’ve been on Tae Crowder a lot early on this season. The NY Giants linebacker didn’t play well through the first three weeks of the campaign and fans were blasting him on social media for his rough play. Oh, how things have changed for him.

You’ve simply got to show Crowder some love for what he was able to get done in Week 4 vs. the Chicago Bears. Who the heck was that out on the field for Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale? In the 20-12 win, Crowder was an absolute beast, recording 11 tackles and a sack.

This is the kind of performance NY supporters have been waiting to see from the ‘backer. Again, Crowder has had his fair share of issues early on this season. When the Giants released Blake Martinez this offseason, people were panicking about the thought of Crowder stepping up and being a leader for the unit.

Through the first three weeks of the campaign, those concerns were right on the money, with No. 48 not playing well. Outside of an epic hit on Derrick Henry, Crowder had been a major disappointment. The script was flipped against the Bears on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Crowder may not be the best LB in the game, but the man has a ton of heart. He clearly shut out the outside noise and just went about doing his job against the NFC North opponents. Crowder delivered a game to remember for the Giants coaches and he’s rightfully earning a lot of praise on social media from the fanbase too.

This just goes to show how much potential Crowder has. While things may have looked tough for him vs. Tennessee, Carolina and Dallas early on, the effort he put together against Justin Fields and Co. was great to see. Now, Crowder will look to record back-to-back strong showings, as the G-Men are getting ready to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers across the pond in Week 5.
