Odell Beckham Jr. took a surprise NY Giants visit and now fans are begging for a signing
Don’t you dare do this, Joe Schoen. Don’t you dare give us hope. For months now, NY Giants fans have been hoping that someway, somehow, the Giants would find a way to bring Odell Beckham Jr. back home to where his career started.
Beckham himself has left the door open on multiple occasions, saying he’s got nothing but love for the organization. Now, things have taken an interesting turn. According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, OBJ was in East Rutherford on Monday for a visit with the G-Men. So, you’re saying there’s a chance here?
NY Giants should sign Odell Beckham Jr. and give Daniel Jones some help
Beckham is still recovering from his torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl last February and he’s not expected to be ready to rock until November. Despite that, the fact that Beckham made his way to New Jersey to check out his old stomping grounds sure has people talking about the possibility of him donning a Big Blue uniform once again.
Since he won’t be able to play in a game for a little while, the Giants may not be in a rush to ink him to a new contract, and OBJ himself could be lining up other visits. Again, however, we can’t ignore the fact that he made his way to the Garden State to meet with former teammates and check out his old home.
With so many injuries for Giants WRs, including the torn ACL for Sterling Shepard, this team needs some depth at the position and that will most definitely still be the case for the second part of the season. Kenny Golladay is injured himself, while Darius Slayton feels like he’s going to drop any pass thrown his way. Will Kadarius Toney and Wan’Dale Robinson get healthy soon?
If OBJ is still a free agent and has interest in playing with NY once again, then Schoen should make this happen. It won’t break the bank to ink Beckham either. This feels like an easy decision, especially if OBJ want to put the pen to paper.
