NY Giants have to be kidding with the QBs they worked out on Tuesday

Everything really seems up in the air for the NY Giants situation at quarterback leading up to the Week 5 showdown with the Green Bay Packers. With Daniel Jones dealing with an ankle injury and backup Tyrod Taylor working his way back from the concussion protocol, there’s a chance we see Davis Webb start vs. Aaron Rodgers.

That thought alone will have people up all night. Rodgers vs. Webb? Please, no. So, how could things possibly get worse for the G-Men? Per multiple reports, the Giants worked out quarterbacks A.J. McCarron and Jake Fromm on Monday as potential backup options if Jones and Taylor can’t play in this one. Unreal.

NY Giants working out Jake Fromm and A.J. McCarron is a nightmare

Haven’t Giants fans suffered enough? We’ve seen what Fromm can do while donning a Big Blue uniform. That’s going to be a hard pass for us. McCarron? That’s another big no thank you. At this point, we’d rather see Eli Manning put on a wig and a fake mustache and suit up for New York as the one and only Chad Powers.

Powers would be more of a playmaker than Fromm and McCarron combined. In all seriousness, injuries have been a complete and total nightmare for first-year head coach Brian Daboll this season, and the issues under center are the last thing he needs right now. A lot of the focus has gone to the wideouts being banged up, including Stering Shepard tearing his ACL.

However, the quarterback issues really could not have come at a worse time. NY is 3-1 on the season leading up to the London showdown with the Packers. This team will need to play near-perfect football to even have a shot of upsetting Rodgers and Green Bay.

Webb won’t be able to pull off a mirace and it goes without saying, but neither will Fromm or McCarron. Go ahead and pray to the Football Gods that Danny Dimes will be able to play this weekend.
