All week, New York Giants fans have been terrified at the thought of Daniel Jones missing the Week 5 matchup across the pond against the Packers. Things were looking so bleak for this team, Joe Schoen brought in Jake Fromm and A.J. McCarron for workouts. If that’s not rock bottom, we don’t know what is.

Fortunately, neither of those guys was signed. Instead, Schoen made a big splash in bringing back Landon Collins to don a Big Blue jersey. To make things even better for the NY fans, Jones has been able to practice and he’s looking like that bum ankle won’t prevent him from suiting up come Sunday.

No disrespect to Davis Webb, NY’s backup QB if Tyrod Taylor isn’t cleared from the concussion protocol, but there’s no way the G-Men would have a prayer against Green Bay if he were to start. Luckily, Jones indeed should be all set to take on the Packers in a game the Giants are big underdogs for.

There’s no arguing that Aaron Rodgers is miles ahead in terms of talent over Jones or any other QB the Giants would be able to trot out onto the field at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, Jones 100 percent gives this team the best chance to potentially to improve to 4-1 this weekend.

What sucks for the Giants, however, is that Jones won’t be as mobile as we’ve seen him early on this campaign. In the win over the Bears at MetLife Stadium in Week 4, Jones rushed for not one, but two touchdowns against the stingy Chicago defense. That was amazing to see for so many people out there.

Jones will have his mind on stunning Rodgers and Co. with the London faithful watching closely too. It could turn out to be a memorable weekend for the Giants and there’s no doubt whatsoever that Jones puts this team in the best position to record a victory. Hey Saquon Barkley, we’re looking at you to deliver too.
