There might not be another person more loved in New York or New Jersey than Brian Daboll right now. After years of suffering, the pain has been wiped away thanks to Daboll and Joe Schoen arriving in East Rutherford. The cherry on top thus far no question was the Week 5 NY Giants upset win over the Green Bay Packers.

This moment clearly meant the world to Daboll. Everyone assumed the Giants, 3-1 on the year, of old would show up and not be able to hang close with Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay. Instead, the Giants came out on top 27-22 and Daboll lost his mind while making his way back to the locker room. Seriously, watch this video and try not to get fired up yourself:

You have to love seeing that reaction from Daboll. The Giants were down 20-10 at halftime. There wasn’t a ton of confidence in Daniel Jones powering this team to a double-digit, come-from-behind win. That’s exactly what happened, as Danny Dimes and Saquon Barkley teamed up to power the offense to a strong showing, outscoring the Packers 17-2 in the second half.

The only two points Green Bay scored in the final 30 minutes came thanks to an NY safety they took on purpose to waste more time/not give Rodgers a shorter field for a Hail Mary. The fact that defensive coordinator Wink Martindale was able to keep AR12 and Co. scoreless in the second half is out of this world impressive.

Daboll obviously loved seeing this. The new head man for the G-Men has people over the moon with the transformation this team is recording. There’s excitement, energy and a lot of belief in these players. This is a banged up roster too, but the Giants are finding ways to prove all of their doubters wrong.

With New York at 4-1 through the first five games of the campaign, this squad really looks like it could get back to the postseason for the first time since 2016. If they get that done, we can only expect more and more passionate celebrations from Daboll. This guy deserves all of the great words that are coming his way.
