NY Giants listed among 3 teams in new D.J. Moore trade rumors
The NY Giants need some wide receiver help – that’s stating the obvious. The Carolina Panthers are about to enter a full rebuild after firing head coach Matt Rhule, and wide receiver D.J. Moore has been mentioned as a possible trade target for teams. Could this end up being a match made in heaven for general manager Joe Schoen?
Fans all over Twitter are urging Schoen and Co. to make something happen for the G-Men. Obviously, New York wouldn’t be the only team who might have interest in Moore, who has three 1,000-yard seasons to his name. The latest rumors have the Giants, Packers and Ravens as teams who could have high interest in No. 2.
NY Giants trading for DJ Moore would really help out this offense
Moore is a total stud, but there’s no question things aren’t going well for the Panthers in 2022. Bringing in Baker Mayfield and having a healthy Christian McCaffrey was supposed to have this team ready to make noise in the NFC South. Instead, the Panthers have fired Rhule after starting the campaign 1-4, sitting in dead last of the division standings.
Over in East Rutherford, things are quite the opposite. Against all the odds, the Giants are 4-1 and people have strong belief that this team could end up pushing for an NFC East title. Who in the hell thought this would be possible? Not only have the Giants battled an insane amount of injuries, but they’re operating under first-year head coach Brian Daboll.
Daboll has been a gift from the Football Gods, as has been offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. With Daboll and Kafka, they’re finding ways to get this offense going despite Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney being injured/not living up to expectations.
Imagine if Moore joins this offense and opens up the field for Daniel Jones? The Packers and Ravens would certainly make sense for Moore too if Carolina decides it’s open to trading the speedster. If Schoen is able to trade for Moore, though, it’d be something Big Blue nation would love to see. Moore may not be that expensive in this case either.
