Grades for key members of the NY Giants defense through 5 games

4. Pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux: B-
Despite only playing in three games thus far, No. 5 overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux has looked pretty solid when on the field. Thibodeaux missed the first two Giants game due to an MCL sprain he suffered in the preseason. However, since returning, Thibodeaux has made a pretty big impact despite not yet registering a sack.
In the three games Thibodeaux has played in, he has racked up eight combined tackles, eight QB hurries, one QB hit, and three pass deflections. While these stats may not be the most impressive, watching Thibodeaux play shows a different story, as he truly has been all over the field.

The speed Thibodeaux possesses is truly elite, even being too much for All-Pro tackle David Bakhtiari on the play showcased in the video above. Thibodeaux fakes the outside and cuts in, causing Rodgers to panic in the pocket. You can call Thibodeaux disappointing for not tallying a sack yet, however, it is hard to say that when you see the immediate impact he has had in just his first three NFL games.
Thibodeaux is only going to get better as the season goes on. He has a great opportunity to turn plenty of heads this weekend when taking on the Ravens.
