1. DL Dexter Lawrence: A

After being one of the more solid and consistent players on the Giants defense for the last three seasons, it seems as if Dexter Lawrence is going through a major breakout. In the first five games of the season, he has looked like a genuine superstar.

Lawrence has racked up 19 combined tackles, three sacks, five QB hits, nine QB hurries, and two tackles for loss. Lawrence has been NY’s best and most consistent pass-rusher so far, and the defense has really benefited from it.

The jump that Lawrence has made this season has been truly fantastic to watch. The Giants have been without a dominant interior presence for quite some time. Lawrence has always had the physical attributes to be dominant, however, he was never quite been able to put it all together.

Prior to the start of the season, the Giants had to make the decision on whether or not they were going to pick up Lawrence’s fifth-year option. Smartly enough, they did, giving the team an extra year before they have to re-sign him, while simultaneously showing that they want Lawrence around. This man is making himself a lot of money with his showings thus far in 2022.
