2. Jaguars CB Tre Herndon

Much like King, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Tre Herndon finds himself pushed back in a depth chart filled with young talent. But the 26-year-old cornerback has proven that he can still play at a high level.

Herndon has been a solid piece for the Jaguars since he joined the team in 2018. He has appeared in 57 career games while earning 30 total starts. While his playing time has been inconsistent over the past two seasons, he has remained effective.

Throughout his career, he has recorded 168 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 19 defended passes, and three interruptions.

Through the first five games of the Jaguars season, Herndon has had to fight for playing time. While he has been used heavily in special teams, he has barely recorded any defensive snaps. In his lone start of the season in Week 3, Herndon played well. While being on the field for just 51 percent of the snaps, he recorded seven total tackles and one defended pass.

Herndon has a base salary of just $1,035,000 this season. With the Giants having just over $3.6 million remaining, the addition of Herndon wouldn’t stop them from still addressing other positions.
