The NY Giants’ Week 6 matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens will be another great test to see where this Big Blue team is at. Last Sunday, NY fought through adversity and pulled off a comeback victory against Aaron Rodgers and a solid Packers team. Baltimore should be a tougher game for New York, as they pose serious threats on both sides of the ball.

Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is ready for the challenge of facing his old team. He knows what their players do well and what their weaknesses are. His knowledge of the Ravens players and system could benefit the Giants this weekend.

The Ravens QB won’t be the only player on the team’s radar. Here are three Ravens players not named Lamar Jackson the NY Giants must try and overcome at MetLife Stadium.

3.  TE Mark Andrews

The biggest threat on the Ravens offense that isn’t Jackson is without a doubt Mark Andrews. He earned All-Pro honors in 2021 and has been the QBs No. 1 target – similar to what we’re seeing in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Andrews leads the Ravens offense in receiving yards (349), receptions (32), and targets (46). The next closest offensive player has less than half the amount of targets and receptions as Andrews. He’s had at least five catches in four of his last five games and has gone over 85 receiving yards in three of those five as well. Big Blue’s defense will need to try and keep Andrews as quiet as possible. Easier said than done.

Baltimore had two players on the injury report that did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. They were wide receiver Rashod Bateman and offensive lineman Ben Cleveland. The Ravens did get back left tackle Ronnie Stanley last week, but he was on a snap count.

Stanley did not practice on Wednesday, but did not have any restrictions at Thursday’s practice. Martindale and the Giants defense will have a big task at hand trying to stop Andrews and the rest of the Ravens offense.
