Kayvon Thibodeaux stats keep getting better and better for the NY Giants
If there’s one thing that has been consistent for the NY Giants, other than their winning ways of course, it’s that people love hating on players. We’ve seen all the negative talk on Daniel Jones and others. One guy who was labeled overrated and a bust early on this year was No. 5 overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux.
Sure, he might have struggled in his first game vs. the Dallas Cowboys, but Thibodeaux has been a total force in recent games, making his presence felt in the wins over the Packers and Ravens. So, for all the haters out there, go ahead and shut it. This kid is the real deal and he’s going to be a force for years to come.
NY Giants pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux will have a big game vs. the Jaguars
In his last three games, Thibodeaux has been a monster for defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, posting 10 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and two pass deflections. Tell us again how he’s not that good?
In the win over Baltimore at MetLife Stadium last weekend, Thibodeaux recorded the play of his career thus far, posting his strip-sack on Lamar Jackson. With the Giants clinging to a 24-20 lead, Thibodeaux flew into the backfield and swatted the ball away from Jackson. Then, Leonard Williams was there to hop on the pigskin. Ball game, Giants win.
Thibodeaux made his game-changing play and fans showered him with love on social media. Even more kudos came his way after everyone saw him honor Victor Cruz with a fantastic salsa dance. Is this something we can expect to see from Thibodeaux after each sack moving forward?
We’d love to see that, and he could break out another set of moves in Week 7 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. The G-Men are underdogs for this one, but something tells us Thibodeaux and Co. will be celebrating another strong win come Sunday evening.
