3. NY Giants offensive line vs. a weak Jaguars pass-rush

Despite looking rather poor at times, the NY offensive line has had some moments of excellent play, most notably against the Chicago Bears, where the Giants offensive line absolutely dominated the trenches.

Entering Week 6, the Giants face a rather weak Jaguars pass-rush, which ranks 27th in sacks. While the interior of the Giants offensive line looked rather shaky last week, you cannot say the same about their tackles. Not only did Andrew Thomas have yet another fantastic game despite playing through an injury, but rookie Evan Neal had by far his best game of the season. Against the Ravens, Neal posted a PFF player grade of 70, which is a season high by a good amount.

The most notable players on the Jaguars pass-rush are star edge-rushers Josh Allen and No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker, both of which are off to great starts to the season. It’ll be on Thomas and Neal to slow them down.

As for the rest of the Giants offensive line, it is much harder to predict, as they have been much more inconsistent than Thomas and Neal. However, outside of DaVon Hamilton, who’s off to a great start to the season, the rest of the Jaguars defensive line is rather weak. This will all be something to watch on Sunday, but there’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the line’s potential for the G-Men.
