3. Evan Engram drops a key pass that helps the Giants pull away

Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, is a day Giants fans will never forget. The Giants had a chance to move into first place in the NFC East if they could pick up a first down late in the fourth quarter in Philadelphia. Jones threw a beautiful dime to Evan Engram, who delivered a drop that will never be forgiven.

Had the Giants won that game, they would have finished 7-9, and would have been NFC East champions. Engram’s drop problem has not changed. The only difference is it will help win the game for the Giants on Sunday, instead of their opponent. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Engram continues to play football and drop passes, so it would be insane for us to expect anything different.

We think Lawrence is going to throw a ball to Engram in the second half on Sunday, and it will deflect off his fingertips, go into the air and a Giants defensive back will catch it for a key interception. Then, the Giants will drive down the field for a score. Goodness, that’d be poetic.
