1. LG Ben Bredeson
The Giants left guard left the game in the first half of Sunday’s victory with an apparent knee injury. Ben Bredeson was ruled out instantly, which is usually the sign of something rather serious. Rookie Josh Ezeudu replaced Bredeson at LG.
Bredeson was acquired from Baltimore in a trade on cutdown day in August 2021, and has started every game in 2022 at left guard for the Giants. PFF ranks Bredeson 52 out of 75 qualified guards, and while he is certainly not one of the stars of the Giants offensive line, he has held his own.
Optimism from multiple sources that rookie RG Evan Neal and LG Ben Bredeson avoided serious injuries (ACL tears). Good news in that regard on the injury front for the Giants offensive line.

Luckily, it looks like Bredeson avoided the worst-case scenario here. Ezeudu will likely replace Bredeson in the starting lineup if the veteran is forced to miss time.
While Ezeudu has been solid in his limited time on the field, he is a very inexperienced rookie, and teams never want to make changes to position groups that have been consistent and somewhat dominant – which the Giants offensive line has been early in 2022. We can only hope that all three of these guys can get back on the field soon enough.
