The Kadarius Toney experiment is over for the NY Giants, and his time in East Rutherford is going to be remembered more for drama than his production on the field. Toney was traded to the Giants on Thursday and he wasted no time in taking to social media to show love to the KC supporters.

However, the former first-round pick then decided to get on Twitter and say goodbye to the Giants in the worst way possible. Toney fired up a tweet that’s a bit cryptic, but the message is clear: he’s excited that he’s leaving town and headed to catch balls from Patrick Mahomes. Oh, and it looks like he’s ready to make plays for KC as soon as possible too.

WR Kadarius Toney claims he’s healthy despite being on the injured report

This looks like he’s calling out Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll for not playing him. With the Giants on their way to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in Week 8, Toney had been on the injured report all week, but he claims he’s healthy as can be and would have been ready to make plays. Perhaps Schoen and Daboll were keeping him sidelined as they worked out a trade?

Only people behind the scenes know the answer to that question, but regardless, Giants fans are not happy with Toney’s latest tweet, calling him out for his immaturity throughout this whole process. As soon as the trade was made official, Toney, who has only played in two games in 2022, fired up several tweets showing his excitement to suit up for the Chiefs, while giving no other mention of the Giants.

All in all, this feels like a proverbial slap in the face from Toney to everyone in East Rutherford. With the Chiefs on a bye this weekend, something tells us No. 89 will hit the ground running at practice next week and be ready to suit up and ball out for the Chiefs in Week 9.

If that happens, there’s going to be a lot of unhappy people out there from NY and NJ. He has two receptions to his name this fall, that’s it. So many people were hoping for Toney to have a breakout 2022 and silence his haters, but now he’s quickly joining Evan Engram as guys Big Blue nation wants to see blow it while they’re out on the gridiron.
