3. WR Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett has remained one of the NFL’s most underrated pass-catching options for nearly a decade now. And now, even without Wilson throwing him the ball, he has proven that he can still be a stud.

Through the first seven games of the season, Lockett and D.K. Metcalf have once again played well together. But after suffering a knee injury on Sunday, Metcalf may not be suiting up for Week 8. This could lead to more looks for Lockett.

Lockett has been the Seahawks leading receiver this season. He has recorded 41 receptions for 468 receiving yards, and two touchdowns on 53 total targets. He ranks first in each of these categories for the team.

Smith and Lockett have quickly managed to build a strong connection. Once again, the star slot receiver is serving as a security blanket in this offense. He has generated a team-high 22 first downs.

If Metcalf is unable to suit up, the Giants secondary will lock in on Lockett. More than likely, Adoree’ Jackson will take on the responsibility of slowing him down. With Jackson playing like a legitimate lockdown CB1 this season, this defense may not have an issue with the veteran receiver.

However, Lockett has made a career out of giving secondaries problems. If the Seahawks can establish their ground game early, it could lead to Lockett getting opportunities down the field. The Giants will need to stop him in his tracks.
