After winning four games in a row, the NY Giants finally had their winning streak snapped at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. The 27-13 loss is not the end of the world, however, it was extremely avoidable and the way in which the Giants lost was frankly embarrassing.

The Seahawks were not a team to take lightly, we all know this, but for the Giants to play this poorly in a very winnable game is disheartening.

There were far too many mistakes and just flat out poor play from members of the team who needed to step up this week, especially on the defensive side of the ball. With that being said, here are three NY Giants players who blew it in this week’s loss to the Seahawks.

3. DB Adoree’ Jackson

It’s really hard to put Adoree’ Jackson on this list, as he started the game so strong. His forced fumble to set up the Saquon Barkley touchdown run was a thing of beauty. However, as the day went on, his level of play dropped significantly.

Jackson ended the contest with five combined tackles, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble. Despite this, his ability in coverage down the stretch really cost the Giants. For example, not only did Jackson get beat badly by Tyler Lockett on his TD catch, but even on the one Lockett dropped, Jackson got toasted again – he just got lucky the ball fell to the turf.

We won’t be too critical of Jackson, as he has played very well this season, but his showing late really hurt to watch. It was clear the NY secondary would struggle this game once we found out that both Lockett and DK Metcalf were surprisingly playing, however, we really didn’t think it would be this bad.

Entering Week 10’s game against a very poor Texans team, this secondary must perform better if NY wants to try and get back to its winning ways.
