2. Boston College WR Zay Flowers
Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers has been one of the most consistent pass-catchers in college football since the day the he arrived. Over the past four seasons, Flowers has recorded 176 receptions for 2,705 receiving yards and 23 receiving touchdowns. On the ground, he has recorded 53 career rushing attempts, totaling 343 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Over the first eight games of 2022, Flowers has recorded 54 receptions for 726 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He is on pace to set career-highs across the board.
After moving on from Toney, Flowers could be the perfect option to step into that vacant role. He relies heavily on his speed and can make his way through defenders with ease, much like how Toney did at Florida.
The Giants offense, constructed by Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka, has built a unit reliant on speed and making moves without the ball in players’ hands. The pre-snap motions and RPOs are where this unit has found success this season. Players who fit that mold could quickly make an impact on this team. Flowers could be just what they are looking for.
