You already know that NY Giants fans are following the Odell Beckham Jr. free agency battle closely, as countless people are hoping a reunion goes down in East Rutherford. General manager Joe Schoen would become a local legend if he brings back No. 13 to MetLife Stadium. That’s not going to be easy, though.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, there are now a total of seven teams who have shown interest in trying to sign Beckham to a new contract. OBJ is looking for a multi-year deal, with plenty of interest arriving for him. This makes a ton of sense, as he’s nearly back to 100 percent from his torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl.

Joe Schoen and the NY Giants have stiff competition to sign Odell Beckham Jr.

With so many organizations eyeing Beckham, this surely has NY supporters a bit worried about the team’s chances of a signing. Thus far, Beckham has been linked to the Bills, Chiefs, Packers, Giants and Cowboys. Per Schultz’s sources, however, there’s two mystery teams who have jumped in.

From our chair, the Baltimore Ravens sure would make sense, as Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh would love to add another playmaker for the offense. Imagine OBJ and Jackson on the same field? Yeah, we don’t, as we’d much rather see Beckham making plays alongside Saquon Barkley for Daniel Jones, Mike Kafka and Brian Daboll.

Kenny Golladay returning vs. the Houston Texans will obviously be a major return for the offense, but Golladay, who is in the middle of another down year with Big Blue, isn’t going to fix this team’s issues at wideout all by himself.

The WR room still needs a ton of help, and Beckham sure could go a long ways in helping the group get on track. If that does happen, the G-Men will need to beat out – for now – six other teams for Beckham. We should have our answer on where OBJ signs in the coming weeks.
