3. Darius Slayton ate his Wheaties on Sunday morning

This was exactly what Slayton needed for this NY offense. You want to talk about a breakout game, Slayton had that against the Texans and everyone loved seeing it. As we mentioned above, Slayton helped set up the opening score with his 36-yard reception. He wasn’t even close to being done making big plays for Jones, however.

Early on in the second half, Slayton made his day quite memorable with his 54-yard TD from Jones. Slayton broke a tackle early on in the sequence and fans were just hoping for a first down. Slayton had other ideas, as he showcased his amazing speed and he flew down the sideline for the monster score. What a job by No. 86.

Jones was under heavy pressure and he managed to get the ball away right before he was taken down. Slayton appeared to juggle the ball a bit, but he still hauled it in and had the presence of mind to turn upfield. The Giants wide receivers haven’t done much of anything for Jones this year, but it feels like Slayton is getting better with each game. More big showings are on the way for him.
