1. A big showing for Daniel Jones

He’s not the flashiest guy in the world, but goodness, Jones keeps getting the job done for this team. This felt like Jones was developing more and more confidence as the game went on, which was awesome to see. He had the touchdown throw to Cager, and then things were made even better with his toss to Slayton.

Not only that, Jones made some big plays in key situations. After the Houston Texans scored on a Nico Collins TD, the Giants were clinging to a 14-10 lead. There were a lot of nervous people inside of the stadium. However, Jones was able to calm those nerves by leading the team on a nice drive, which ended with a Saquon Barkley touchdown.

On that drive, Jones found recently-signed wideout Isaiah Hodgins for a big gain. Hodgins came down with the sweet grab and it’s obviously big for him knowing that Jones trusts him. Again, Jones isn’t a QB known for his swag or flashy play, but he looked strong vs. Houston. He’s a big reason why this team is 7-2.
