There might not be a more hated athlete in the New York area right now than NY Giants wideout Kenny Golladay. In a game where he should have reminded people of how good of a player he is, Golladay had another contest to forget, this time in the Week 10 win over the Houston Texans at MetLife Stadium.

Golladay finished the day with two targets, zero receptions and a drop that left people fuming. Golladay ended up getting benched in the second half in favor of wideout Isaiah Hodgins, a player not many NY supporters had ever even heard of prior to Sunday’s tilt. Golladay was frustrated after the game against Houston, which is understandable, but it’s clear he’s not happy with Brian Daboll either.

NY Giants WR Kenny Golladay isn’t getting the job done for Brian Daboll

When it’s all said and done, Golladay is well on his way to becoming one of the biggest busts in team history. A $72 million contract for him felt right at the time when the organization inked him to his massive deal, but he has failed miserably in bringing happiness to the fans in the stands.

In the win over Houston, Darius Slayton led the way with his three receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. His 54-yard score brought the house down, as he showcased electric speed on his way to the end zone. People at MetLife were also jacked up when tight end Lawrence Cager hauled in a TD from Daniel Jones.

People are supposed to be celebrating big plays from Golladay, not guys like Slayton and Cager. With Hodgins being the more dependable option in the second half for the NY offense too, it tells you about the lack of confidence Daboll has in Golladay.

That’s probably going to be the case moving forward. All signs are pointing to Golladay being cut this offseason. It just feels like a split between the two parties would be best for everyone involved.
