All of a sudden, former NY Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney is healthy as can be and making major noise for the Kansas City Chiefs. Toney has won over plenty of fans in KC, especially after scoring his first NFL touchdown this past weekend in the Chiefs win against the Jaguars.

Superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been incredibly impressed with Toney from the moment the blockbuster trade went down ahead of the deadline. While speaking on New Heights presented by Wave Sports and Entertainment, Kelce’s podcast with his brother Jason, he didn’t hold back with his thoughts on the G-Men not sticking with the former first-round pick out of Florida.

KC Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is thrilled Kadarius Toney was traded by the Giants

"“I don’t know how he got out of that building, I just don’t get it,” Kelce said of the Giants. “I don’t get it one bit. I don’t understand – like I don’t even want to understand. I don’t even want to know what happened over there. I am just extremely happy that Brett Veach found a way to yet again get an unbelievably talented player in this building.”"

At the end of the day, Toney’s career with the Giants never felt like it was going to take off, and general manager Joe Schoen was more than happy in receiving a third-round pick and sixth-round pick in return for the second-year player.

That felt like a decent deal for the Giants at the time, but it just stings for fans to see him having early success in a new offense. Last weekend vs. Jacksonville, Toney caught four balls for 57 yards and his score. He’s already developed nice chemistry with Patrick Mahomes as well.

Everyone was hoping that kind of chemistry could be built with Daniel Jones, but that didn’t happen. Now, NY supporters are going to have to get used to seeing Toney, Kelce and Mahomes being all smiles after a victory. It is what it is.
