The red hot fighting Dan Campbell’s will make the journey to New York this weekend, where they will go to battle with the 7-2 juggernaut that is the New York Giants. After starting the season 1-6, the Detroit Lions have won two consecutive games, defeating their two biggest rivals the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

Las Vegas continues to disrespect the New York Football Giants. This weekend the G-Men are slight favorites, with a lot of people thinking Detroit could potentially pull off a stunning road upset. The Giants will just have to prove their doubters wrong yet again on Sunday. Here are four bold predictions for the Giants vs. Lions showdown this weekend.

4. Giants snap nearly a three-year old drought and score 30 points

One of the more remarkable statistics surrounding the Giants is that they have not scored 30 offensive points in a game since December 22, 2019, when they dropped 41 during an overtime victory against Washington. Unsurprisingly, Danny Dimes played one of the best games of his career that day, throwing for five touchdowns.

This Sunday, we will see a similar game from Jones. Mike Kafka’s offense should be able to do whatever they want to the horrific Detroit defense. Detroit’s defense ranks 32nd in yards allowed per game, 27th in passing yards allowed per game, 31st in rushing yards per game, and 32nd in points per game. These brutal stats should come as no surprise to those who watched the Detroit offense pick apart the Detroit defense in every Hard Knocks episode last summer.

In the Giants victory against Houston last weekend, the offense took advantage of Houston’s porous run defense. With Detroit’s defense being brutal stopping both the run and the pass, the Giants will unleash both their rushing and passing attacks.

Daniel Jones will have one of the better games of his season, throwing for 300 yards, while Saquon Barkley will have yet another 100-yard rushing game.
