2. Danny Dimes airs it out

Jones has not thrown a pick in six consecutive games, the longest stretch of his career, and I think that has earned him significant trust with the coaching staff. This weekend, they’ll let him be more aggressive.

One of the more unbelievable stats I discovered about the Giants this week is that the G-Men have only completed two passes that have traveled 20 or more yards in the air, the least amount in the NFL. For reference, the team with the second least, the Tennessee Titans, have completed six of those passes.

Daboll and Kafka will come to the understanding that in order to win in the playoffs, you will have to take deep shots, and this weekend they’ll give Jones his first real opportunities to do just that. It will pay off, as Jones will throw another long touchdown to Slayton, while also completing two more passes 20+ yards in the air.
