NY Giants get brutal injury update on star CB Adoree’ Jackson
This is just brutal. In the first half of the NY Giants game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson went down with a knee injury. This injury didn’t come on defense, though, as Jackson hurt himself returning a punt. He was ruled out for the game shortly after he hobbled off the field.
Now, though, the Giants could be without Jackson for more than a month. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, his sources are telling him that he suffered a sprained MCL and he’s going to miss 3-5 weeks. This was a fear when he went down, but Jackson won’t be able to suit up for a little while.

This team can’t stay healthy, and they’re losing guys at key positions. Jackson has been a stud for new defensive coordinator Wink Martindale this year, and he’s been steady in making plays for the defense.
From the moment Jackson went down, NY fans were worried that this was a potentially serious injury. The good news is that he didn’t suffer any kind of a tear, but the fact that he could miss five games is brutal. Jackson obviously won’t be able to play on Thanksgiving going up against the Cowboys in Dallas.
Now, Jackson will look to work his tail off in his rehab to get back on the field as soon as possible, but the best-case scenario is that he’ll be back after three weeks. With his diagnosis being revealed so quickly, though, we don’t have a ton of confidence that Jackson will be able to make a speedy recovery.
This is a major blow for head man Brian Daboll and his entire staff. You’ve got to feel bad for Jackson as well.
