2. LB Tae Crowder

It seems as if Tae Crowder’s time as a Giant could be coming to an end soon. His defensive snaps continue to go down, which is what people have been calling for. Straight up, he’s just not getting the job done.

While he may rack up a ton of tackles, this doesn’t tell the whole story, as Crowder’s reaction time, and ability to make a read against the run are pretty terrible. In addition to this, Crowder is one of, if not the worst, linebackers in all of football in terms of his abilities in coverage.

According to PFF, Crowder has an overall player grade of 29.7, which is second worst in the entire NFL. Crowder may have had a big hit on Derrick Henry early on in the season, and a very nice game against Chicago in Week 4, but outside of that he has pretty much been useless.

Most Giants fans have grown tired of watching Crowder play over the last couple of seasons and it seems as if the coaching staff is feeling the same way. We’ve been seeing a lot more of Micah McFadden, which no one will complain about.

Considering that Crowder only has one year left on his contract, the NY Giants may move on from the 25-year-old linebacker this offseason. For now, we can only hope that McFadden continues to succeed in replacement of Crowder.
