Our heart is broken for Wan’Dale Robinson. There’s no other way to put things. On Sunday in the rough loss to the Lions, the rookie wideout was the lone bright spot for the NY Giants, hauling in nine receptions for 100 yards. He was the first WR to post a 100-yard game for NY and head coach Brian Daboll this season.

However, the speedster went down with a nasty-looking knee injury in the second half against Detroit. He couldn’t put any weight on his leg and everyone feared it was a torn ACL. Daboll confirmed on Monday morning that his WR indeed suffered the season-ending injury.

NY Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson is out for the year with his torn ACL

Robinson has been dealing with injuries throughout his debut campaign in East Rutherford, as he’s only been able to play in six of 10 contests. His breakout game against the Lions gave fans so much promise that he’d be able to record a strong second half of the year.

However, the football Gods had other ideas for him. It just feels like the Giants are suffering one back-breaking injury after another in 2022. During the bye, Xavier McKinney crashed his ATV in Mexico and will be out an extended period of time. In Week 11, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson injured his knee on a punt return and will miss 3-5 weeks.

On top of that, Robinson’s torn ACL now leaves the WRs room even more depleted than it was before. The Giants are running out of bodies to catch passes from quarterback Daniel Jones.

While there’s still the possibility this team signs Odell Beckham Jr., that’s completely up in the air, and it feels like the Dallas Cowboys are gaining a bit of steam. Regardless of if that happens or not, this offense and Mike Kafka will surely miss having Robinson out there to make plays for Big Bliue.
