If you’ve taken a look at Twitter, you’ve probably seen Dallas Cowboys players continuing to try and shoot their shot in recruiting Odell Beckham Jr. We haven’t seen the NY Giants do this, though when asked about his return to East Rutherford, the guys inside of the locker room of course are all for it.

This includes wideout Darius Slayton. The speedy wideout, who has shown just how great he can be in recent weeks, was asked about OBJ taking the field for Big Blue this season. Slayton didn’t go over the top in recruiting him, but he surely wants Beckham to make his way home.

NY Giants WR Darius Slayton wants the team to sign Odell Beckham Jr.

"“Obviously there’s some people on our team that were here when he was here,” Slayton said of OBJ. “They love him. He’s got friends here. You know Shep (Sterling Shepard) being one of those guys. I know they’re really close, but I’m all for anybody that will help our team, so if he wants to come here and sign here, I think he knows where home is. I’ll leave it at that.”"

Slayton had a smile on his face at the end of that interview, which sure has people talking. At the end of the day, the Giants need some serious help for the wide receivers room. Beckham could instantly become the No. 1 WR for this team if he does return.

The position took a major hit on Sunday with rookie wideout Wan’Dale Robinson going down in the second half with his knee injury. Robinson, who finished Week 11 with 100 yards, tore his ACL and he’s done for the year.

The need to sign Beckham has never been higher. Daniel Jones needs some reliable options to throw to. Bringing back Beckham would be a feel-good story for the second part of the season. A lot of people want to see it happen, including Slayton.
