Cowboys latest recruiting pitch to Odell Beckham Jr. is completely embarrassing

What’s next, Jerry Jones is going to slide into Odell Beckham Jr.’s Instagram direct messages to try and get him to sign? Over the last month, we’ve seen players on the Dallas Cowboys go hard in attempting to recruit OBJ to Arlington. Sure, we get it. Beckham is a stud wideout and any team would be lucky to have him.

Dak Prescott said he’d love to see Beckham make plays for him. Again, nothing wrong there. However, what we have a huge issue with, as do countless NY Giants supporters, is that the Cowboys decided to use Prescott’s quote as the focus of an article, then they tweet it out in an open recruiting move for No. 13. Give us a break.

Cowboys shooting their shot with Odell Beckham Jr. is becoming too much

Seriously, this is too much. You don’t see the Giants Twitter account doing this nonsense. While Darius Slayton, Saquon Barkley and others have made it clear they want an OBJ reunion to go down, they’re not posting all over social media to try and get his attention.

If anything, Slayton, Barkley and others will save their efforts for when Beckham makes his way to East Rutherford for his visit after Thanksgiving. Beckham is all set to meet with the Giants and Cowboys, which has a lot of people calling Thursday’s Week 12 showdown at AT&T Stadium the Odell Bowl.

Regardless of the result, from our chair, Beckham would be foolish to sign with the Cowboys over the G-Men. If he returns to NY, he could be the No. 1 receiver for the Giants and Joe Schoen could give him the kind of contract he’s looking for. If he wants to play for the Cowboys and be part of a team that will undoubtedly choke early on in the playoffs, then that’s his call.

The right call is to end his legacy with the Giants the right way. He’ll go down as one of the best offensive players in team history. It’s time to remind people of how great he looks in a Big Blue uniform.
