The worry for NY Giants fans about Odell Beckham Jr. potentially joining the enemy has reached an all-time high. This week, Beckham is all set to visit with the G-Men in East Rutherford. After that, though, he has trips scheduled to meet with the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys. The thought of OBJ playing for Dallas makes us sick.
Unfortunately for so many out there, it’s looking like our biggest nightmare could come true. According to Adam Schefter, a source told him that Dallas feels like the odds-on favorite to land Beckham, with all the other teams linked to him chasing Jerry Jones. Please, say it ain’t so.
An NFL executive thinks the Dallas Cowboys will end up signing Odell Beckham Jr.
This would really add insult to injury for Brian Daboll and Big Blue. On Thanksgiving, the Cowboys landed a punch on the Giants, taking them down 28-20. NY was up 13-7 at half in that matchup, but the team couldn’t do much of anything right in the second half. If Dallas ends up signing OBJ shortly after that Thanksgiving win, it’d really feel like a knockout punch.
If you ask the NFL executive who spoke to Schefter, he thinks that will end up happening. On one side, it’d make sense for Beckham to ink with Dallas, as he wants to try and bring home another Super Bowl ring this winter. The Cowboys look like serious contenders to do so.
However, as we’ve stated several times on GMENHQ before, Beckham could come to the Giants and not only be the No. 1 wideout for the team, but he could end his playing days with NY the right way.
The countdown to find out where Beckham signs is getting shorter and shorter. Following Schefter’s report, however, Giants fans should brace for the likely possibility that Beckham suits up for Jones.
