In Week 12, Daniel Jones and the New York Giants fell to the Dallas Cowboys 28-20 in what was a nightmare second-half showing for everyone involved.  While they suffered a loss on Thanksgiving Day, the Giants were fighting an uphill battle before kickoff even happened. With key injuries on both sides of the ball, the game was destined to be a challenge.

With a winning record heading into December, though, this Giants team has defied expectations. Even so, this loss showed that this squad still has room for improvement. This season will be shaped by how this team can bounce back with the remaining games on the schedule.

But before we look ahead to the rest of the season, let’s shine a light on some of the performances from Week 12, both good and bad.

Here are two studs and two duds from the Giants Week 12 loss.

4. Dud – WR Kenny Golladay

Unfortunately for both Kenny Golladay and the Giants, this pairing is still yet to find success on the field. Golladay once again put on a poor showing in Week 12. Golladay played just 19 total snaps in vs. Dallas. He finished the day with zeroes across the board, not receiving a single target.

This proved to be just another rough outing for the veteran pass-catcher. In his seven games this season, Golladay is yet to put on a strong performance. He has generated a total of just 10 targets, leading to four receptions for 51 receiving yards.

Golladay, who is in his second season with the Giants, failed to perform at the level that many expected him to last year as well. In 2021 he recorded just 37 receptions for 521 receiving yards on 76 total targets.

Now in his second campaign, he is in the perfect situation to find success within this Giants offense. Injuries have plagued the pass-catchers on this unit, but instead of Golladay rising to the occasion, the veteran receiver has fallen out of the rotation almost entirely. In Week 12, this was on full display.
