The NY Giants showdown against the Washington Commanders is almost here, but the G-Men are now going to be facing some extra adversity on the offensive side of the ball. Moments ago it was announced that wideout Kenny Golladay, dealing with an illness, won’t be able to suit up for the Week 13 clash.

Golladay’s nightmare 2022 season just keeps getting worse, as people were hoping he’d finally be able to step up for Daniel Jones in this big-time NFC East clash. That won’t be the case. In total, seven players have been ruled out.

Golladay isn’t alone on the inactives list, as he’s joined by CB Adoree’ Jackson, CB Darnay Holmes, G Shane Lemieux, G Joshua Ezeudu, TE Lawrence Cager and LB Elerson Smith. There aren’t too many surprises on the list, but missing Golladay surely isn’t what anyone wanted to see.

The good news for Jones is that tight end Daniel Bellinger is back from his eye injury and the rookie will be ready to put on a show in his first game back in action. With Golladay sidelined, the other pass-catchers are going to have to step their game up.

Keep an eye on Isaiah Hodgins in this one. The former Oregon State standout, who also suited up for the Bills, has looked sharp at times for the Giants. He had a touchdown called back last week on a bogus penalty against the Cowboys. It’s be great to see him find the end zone vs. Washington at MetLife.
