For the last week, Dallas Cowboys fans have basically been celebrating that Odell Beckham Jr. would spurn the NY Giants and Buffalo Bills to play for Jerry Jones. With Beckham on hand for the Mavericks game on Monday night, sitting courside, people chanted his name like he was on a college recruiting visit. Well, those same people might want to calm down a bit.

With Beckham not working out during his visits with teams, it appears this has Jones a bit worried. So much in fact, it very well could get in the way of Dallas putting a contract offer on the table for the veteran wideout.

Dallas Cowboys may not end up signing Odell Beckham Jr. after all

"“I’m not confident at all,” Jones said. “So, that’s the issue. Now, we all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability is here every time. Just this one is very obvious and very pointed toward his injury that occurred last year in the Super Bowl. We got a good bead on that. We got a great read on his career. It’s not like a draft pick coming at you. You got a lot of history here and you can take a good look at, not only the obvious and that’s his performance, but also any issues regarding health.”"

That quote from Jones doesn’t sould like Dallas is all-in on trying to bring Beckham to Dallas. You can’t blame him or any other team for having concerns, as OBJ’s injury history is something to keep in mind.

He tore his ACL in the Super Bowl win for the Rams last winter, and while he has been cleared, people are going to want to see how he’s able to run at full speed during routes. Jones is going to want to give things a close look before he spends big on inking him.

For the Giants, they had their meeting with OBJ last week and things went great. No workout was completed, as it looks like Joe Schoen trusts things are just fine without having to put him through some tests. Jones doesn’t feel the same.
