Leave it to Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to make a complete and total mess of things. Earlier in the week, it felt like the Cowboys were the favorites to sign Odell Beckham Jr. When Beckham was spotted sitting courtside at the Dallas Mavericks game, it felt like OBJ to Big D was a done deal.

Now, though, it’s looking less and less likely that Beckham will ink with Dallas. That’s because Jones seemingly decided to leak to his media pals that Dallas has some serious concerns about the health of Beckham’s knee.

Did they do this to drive down the price? Who knows, but what we do know is that Dallas as a whole has handled the OBJ recruitment in awful fashion.

NY Giants are still in the race to bring home Odell Beckham Jr.

Earlier in the month, you had players on the Cowboys drooling over the idea of Beckham signing with the team. They were trying to get his attention on social media and during interviews with the press. Now, the Cowboys front office is singing a different tune and doing everything they can to try and back things up.

Sheesh. If this is how the Cowboys want to behave, then they can go ahead and embarrass themselves. Hey, this is Dallas we’re talking about. After these latest leaks, though, it now has plenry of people worried about whether or not Beckham will be able to make a difference for a team in 2022.

Obviously, this includes supporters of the NY Giants and Buffalo Bills. These three teams feel like the ones left in the hunt, though there could be a surprise team out there hoping to make a late attempt at inking the veteran wideout.

We’ve been quite vocal about wanting Beckham back with Big Blue. It’d be a sensational reunion and he’d be able to help out Daniel Jones in a big way this winter and in 2023. It now feels like if Beckham does sign with the G-Men, Dallas fans are going to drive down the ‘we didn’t want him anyway’ avenue.

Give us a break. Don’t let the Cowboys ‘concerns’ make you lose focus that Beckham can still be a fantastic WR in this league.
