The NY Giants welcome the best team in the NFC to MetLife Stadium this weekend, their bitter rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s a sentence that stings to write, but the Giants’ NFC East rival has been phenomenal throughout 2022. Blame a soft schedule or even a little bit of luck, but Philadelphia has almost been perfect on the campaign.

Nevertheless, things can get weird when these two squads face off. The Giants are heavy underdogs entering the game, but nothing is off the table when it comes to one of the best rivalries in the entire NFL.

The Giants are coming off a tie with the Washington Commanders, while the Eagles took care of business against the Tennessee Titans last weekend. Still, something has to give, so here’s four bold predictions for the matchup between the Birds and Big Blue.

4. Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari both sack Jalen Hurts

The Giants pass-rush looked tremendous last weekend, and it’s beginning to look like the advent of a special group is happening right before our eyes.

The interior defensive line duo of Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence have been consistently tremendous while on the field in 2022, but the edge-rushing duo of Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari are proving they can be a dangerous combo for years to come in New York.

They made Taylor Heinicke’s life difficult last Sunday, and they’ll do so again to Jalen Hurts in Week 14. It won’t be the sack-explosion with Osi Umenyiora dominating Donovan McNabb, but both Thibodeaux and Ojulari nab a sack against the Eagles. It’d be great to see these two put constant pressure on Hurts in this one. The Philly QB can’t just sit back and have all day to throw.
