No one is happy in East Rutherford right now. Well, except for Eagles fans still celebrating at nearby bars after they watched their team dominate the NY Giants in this one. Once the final whistle blew, the scoreboard read Eagles 48, Giants 22. No one thought Philly would spank NY as badly as they did.

Linebacker Jihad Ward sure thought things would be closer, as you could tell just how irate he was after the final whistle. While speaking to the media in the locker room, the ‘backer didn’t hold back with his feelings on the team. Straight up, the guys in blue weren’t good enough going up against their NFC East rivals.

LB Jihad Ward knows the NY Giants performance in Week 14 wasn’t good enough

"“It’s December football, man – it’s about who the (expletive) wants it more,” Ward said when asked about the recent NY struggles. “You know what I’m saying? It’s not really about – there’s more to it than doing your job. There’s more to it than ‘I know my playbook stuff.’ You have to do more. How bad do you want it? Nobody is going to sit here and give it to us. It’s really down to how bad do you really, really want it.”"

Ward went on to deliver even more expletives in discussing the play of this squad, plus the importance of winning the Week 15 showdown against the Washington Commanders. That tilt will come in primetime, with Sunday Night Football on the schedule for the massive contest for the two squads.

The Giants haven’t won a game since Nov. 13. They’re now 1-3-1 in their last five games. After the 6-1 start, things have been a nightmare for Brian Daboll and his coaching staff. The Giants need to record some big victories during the final four-game stretch of the campaign. If they don’t, then they can go ahead and get ready to watch the playoffs from home.

Something has to change on both sides of the ball. Heck, even special teams was a nightmare against the Eagles at MetLife Stadium. Ward knows the play of this team isn’t up to standards. We’ll see if he can light a match under some of the younger players. NY as a whole must step its game up.
