Kevin Durant may currently suit up for the Brooklyn Nets, but that doesn’t mean he’s got all love for the New York-area sports teams. When it comes to the NY Giants, Durant isn’t a huge fan of Big Blue. Instead, the D.C. native is 100 percent loyal to his Washington Commanders. Because of this, KD wasn’t too pleased with how the Sunday Night Football showdown ended.

In controversial fashion, the Giants were able to escape with a 20-12 win, but no one is going to stop talking about the blown pass interference call against Darnay Holmes that somehow wasn’t called. Durant decided to take a shot at the Giants on social media, but pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux wasn’t having it.

NY Giants pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux silenced Kevin Durant in the best way possible

Anything to say to that, Mr. Durant? Thibodeaux dropped a proverbial body-slam on Durant there and rightfully so. Durant, who loves the Commanders with all his heart, thought he could bring up the Curtis Samuel-Holmes play with a troll-job of a graphic and think he could get away with it. Thibodeaux wasn’t going to let that slide.

We can go ahead and add this to the long list of achievements for the No. 5 overall pick in recent memory. In the Sunday win over the Commanders, Thibodeaux looked every part of a first-round pick, posting 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and his electric touchdown.

This was the kind of game NYG fans have been hoping to see from the rookie out of Oregon and he delivered in primetime. Thibodeaux has shown how much the Giants organization means to him, which is why he’s not going to sit back and let people try and insult the squad he loves so much.

Let this be a lesson for Durant. He’ll know better than to try and pull off this kind of funny business next time. Thibodeaux will surely be watching.
