2. Facemask against NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones

We’d be a lot angrier for this play if Graham Gano hadn’t stepped up like a total beast for the G-Men. In the third quarter, with the Gians facing 3rd and long, Daniel Jones took off for a big gain short of the sticks, but it put Gano in field-goal range. However, there was a clear facemask call that should have been called in Jones’ favor. Of course it wasn’t.

Thankfully, Gano, with ice in his veins, was able to drill the 50-yarder to give the Giants a 17-9 lead. However, should the actual penalty been called, who knows, maybe Jones would have been able to power the Giants down the field for another big-time touchdown drive.

We’ll never know thanks to the refs clearly blowing it. With all of that said, we’ve also got to give credit to Gano once more. He drilled another 50-yarder in the fourth quarter to put the Giants up 20-12. That incredible kick sneaked between the posts, providing plenty of relief for Big Blue nation.
