1. No pass interference called on the throw to Curtis Samuel

We have no issues calling things as we see them. In this case, the Commanders got screwed on the last offensive play of the game, as Darnay Holmes was draped all over Samuel on the final toss of the night. With Heinicke scrambling to find some extra time/space, he threw a rope to Samuel in the end zone. The ball was batted down, but Holmes really got away with one.

How in the world did the refs miss this? Ron Rivera was absolutely livid when speaking to the media about this blown call, plus the McLaurin penalty, and we don’t blame him for that. This is textbook pass interference. Holmes basically jumped on Samuel’s back to reach in for the pass deflection.

You can make the argument that the refs missed the Thibodeaux hands to the face call on this play, but worst case, Washington should have gotten the ball back for one more play – the two penalties should have offset, but the zebras didn’t even catch one.

This just goes to show how bad the refs were. Regardless of all that, the Giants are 8-5-1 on the year and their postseason chances have skyrocketed. That’s all that matters, but this officiating crew simply has to better.
