A win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17 would secure the New York Giants a spot in the playoffs. Get ready, folks. It would be their first trip to the postseason since 2016 for the G-Men.  Led by Daniel Jones, the Giants are 8-6-1 on the season. Following a 7-2 start to the campaign, they are 1-4-1 over their last six outings.

In a  must-win game for NY, they will be taking on a Colts team that has struggled to find success all season. With Nick Foles now serving as the starting quarterback, they are 4-10-1 on the season. They are 0-5 over their last five games and 1-8 over the last nine. Heading into Week 17, they are coming off of a 20-3 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. This game is there for the taking for the Giants. Here’s a look at four guys who must ball out – no excuses.

4. S Julian Love

The Giants secondary has dealt with injuries all season long. Both safety Xavier McKinney and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson have missed significant time in recent weeks. The one constant has been safety Julian Love, and the Giants will need to once again depend on him in Week 17.

If Jackson can’t make his return this Sunday, Love will once again need to be the leader of the Giants secondary. When called upon this season, he has proven to be a star for this group.

Love has been the lone member of the secondary to take the field in every game this season, and he has the numbers to show for it. He has recorded 120 total tackles, 76 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, five defended passes and two interceptions.

Even with the Colts offense struggling this season, they have several proven pass catchers. Michael Pittman has put together a solid campaign, and Alec Pierce has been one of the NFL’s most underrated rookies. Love will need to deliver if the Giants hope to slow them down.
