The New York Giants have put together their best season in recent history. After securing a spot in the playoffs, they have a Super Bowl on their mind. Though unlikely, never rule out this team. This Giants team has defied expectations all season long. With that being said, there is still room for improvement on both sides of the ball.

The College Football Playoff has featured several players that the Giants should keep an eye on heading into draft season. When TCU takes on Georgia on Monday night in the National Championship Game, there are even more players that Joe Schoen and the Giants front office should be watching. Here’s four in particular:

4. TCU LB Dee Winters

The linebacker position has been an area of concern for the Giants all season. With injuries and poor production at the spot, it has been arguably the weakest link in the defense.

The Giants attempted to address linebacker in last year’s draft. They brought in both Cincinnati’s Darrian Beavers and Indiana’s Micah McFadden. Unfortunately, a torn ACL ended Beavers’ season early, but McFadden has played well at times. The Giants could now look to add another young linebacker to the group in TCU’s Dee Winters.

Winters has been a key figure on the TCU defense since his freshman season in 2019. Since then, he has managed to improve each year.

The 2022 campaign has been the best of Winters’ collegiate career. Over 14 games, he has recorded 72 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two defended passes and one interception.

In total, WInters has taken the field in 44 total games for TCU. He has racked up 239 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks. He has also added three interceptions and seven defended passes.

Winters has the ability to make plays all over the field. And he is a high-volume tackler that can lead the unit. He could be the perfect addition to this Giants defense.
