3. TCU CB Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson

The cornerback position has also been a troublesome area for the Giants this season. Outside of Adoree’ Jackson, the position has been plagued by inconsistency. This could lead to them addressing it at some point in the draft. TCU’s Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson could be an intriguing option.

Hodges-Tomlinson has been dominant during his time at TCU. Following a freshman season that saw him rarely take the field, he has been a key player in the TCU secondary. Over the past three seasons, Hodges-Tomlinson has taken the field in 33 total games. He has recorded 112 total tackles, four tackles for loss, five interceptions, and 34 defended passes.

Throughout this season, Hodges-Tomlinson has looked like one of the best corners in the nation. He has appeared in 14 games, recording 45 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, 14 defended passes, and three interceptions.

At 5-8 and 177 pounds, Hodges-Tomlinson isn’t the biggest player in the secondary. This could lead to him falling drastically down teams’ draft boards, possibly falling to the later rounds of the draft. But, he has the potential to be a playmaker at the next level. If a team is looking for a playmaker in the secondary, he could be just that.
