Things appear to be trending in the right direction for the NY Giants overall when it comes to injured players. Safety Xavier McKinney should be a full go for the NFC Wild Card Round matchup vs. the Vikings, while we should be getting ready to see plenty of pass-rusher Azeez Ojulari and defensive lineman Leonard Williams as well.

What about cornerback Adoree’ Jackson? The talented defensive back has missed most of the second half of the campaign due to a knee injury suffered on a punt return. With Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, T.J. Hockenson and other pass-catchers ready to suit up for the Vikings, the G-Men need all the healthy DBs they can get.

So, will Jackson be able to play this weekend? There’s plenty of optimism there, but Jackson’s latest quote on his availability has a lot of people worried.

NY Giants CB Adoree’ Jackson isn’t sure if he’ll play vs. the Vikings

This could be a case of Jackson playing things down ahead of the weekend battle, but it’s not a good sign that he’s not feeling as confident as he was a week ago. Leading up to the Week 18 showdown with the Eagles, Jackson was doing everything he could to suit up, despite it being a meaningless game.

As insider Jordan Raanan noted, it’d be a surprise if Jackson wasn’t able to get on the field for this one, as the Giants will leave everything out on the field with a trip to the Divisional Round on the line in Minneapolis.

Having Jackson back could prove to be the difference-maker for this team. The Vikings will enter this contest as slight favorites, but the Giants are hungry to post an upset to keep their campaign going.

They nearly beat the Vikings in Minnesota on Christmas Eve. This time around, Brian Daboll will hope his guys can get the job done, and big plays from Jackson in a W would obviously be amazing to see.
