3: WR Kenny Golladay

After being borderline useless all season long, NY Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay finally had something to be excited about in Week 18 against the Eagles where he caught two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown. That’s right, in two seasons as a Giant, Golladay has finally caught his first touchdown with the team.

Not only did Golladay finally get his first TD, but the catch itself was extremely impressive, causing some fans to wonder if Golladay should be a part of the gameplan heading into the Wild Card matchup.

A catch like this showed that Golladay could potentially still have it in him to play a role on this team in the future, and by future we mean the upcoming Wild Card game because there is no way Golladay is back on the Giants next season.

Regardless, that kind of play and catch is what the Giants offense has been lacking all season. While the offense has been rather efficient through the air, they lack the big-play potential due to the wide receiver talent on the roster.

The WR core of the Giants has done fine without him, so it’s not like a big Golladay game is a necessity. However, if he can make a play similar to that against the Eagles, it will certainly be a big boost to an offense that could use it. We’ll see if Brian Daboll increases his playing time.
