The NY Giants have exceeded everyone’s expectations and now the playoffs are officially here. Last season, the Giants finished 4-13 and no one thought this team would be able to make serious noise. However, Brian Daboll has come in and completely changed the culture for this team.

On Sunday afternoon, all eyes will be on Daboll Jones, Saquon Barkley and several others to see if they can take down Minnesota and move on to the Divisional Round. In order for that to happen, these four things must happen”

4. Giants must take care of the football

The last meeting between the two sides was incredibly close, and it’s bound to be a close game again on Sunday. In the Week 16 matchup, the Giants had two turnovers. The first was a fumble at Minnesota’s 23-yard line in the second quarter by rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger. The second was an interception thrown by quarterback Daniel Jones at the Vikings 18-yard line early in the fourth quarter.

With how close the Week 16 matchup was, the Giants offense needs to eliminate the turnovers and the defense needs to force Minnesota into some. Minnesota’s offensive line will likely be starting a backup right tackle and a third-string center on Sunday. The Giants have to take advantage of the beaten up Vikings offensive line and get sacks.

The G-Men will also have a boost in the secondary this time around. Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and safety Xavier McKinney did not play in the last meeting between the two sides. In the Wild Card Round, both stud defensive backs will be in action and ready to make plays for defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. We’d love to see an interception from one of those guys.
