1. Xavier McKinney with the game-sealing tackle

After missing eight out of the Giants last nine games, many fans were ecstatic to have Xavier McKinney back for the playoffs, as we all know just how much of a game changer he can be. McKinney proved that with the biggest tackle of the game.

With 2:56 left in the fourth, down just seven, the Vikings were given one more chance to potentially tie or win the game. However, some stout Giants defense led to them being forced into a 4th-and-8 at their own 48 yard line.

Kirk Cousins would take the snap, and shockingly enough throw just a three yard pass to T.J Hockenson. While normally we’d be scared knowing how often Hockenson dominates the Giants, McKinney rushed in for the tackle and helped seal the win for the G-Men.

The 2022 campaign may not have been as flashy of a season for McKinney as 2021, but he was still an extremely vital part of the Giants defense. This is mostly because NFL offenses are now aware of McKinney’s talent and try not to throw towards him, which goes a long way in stopping potential big plays.

The Giants defense as a whole did a great job at limiting big plays by the Vikings. Obviously they didn’t perform great and allowed 24 points, but Justin Jefferson was held in check for most of the game. Give credit to Adoree’ Jackson for that. As for McKinney, he showed his toughness on the stop of Hockenson. We are so glad to have McKinney and Jackson back, no doubt.
