3. Put trust in Xavier McKinney and Adoree’ Jackson

What a difference having both safety Xavier McKinney and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson back in action made for defensive coordinator Wink Martdinale vs. the Vikings. With those two suiting up and making plays in the secondary, we saw the kind of impact they can make, as Jackson did a tremendous job of containing Justin Jefferson.

As for McKinney, he was a stud as well, with his game-sealing tackle on 4th down against T.J. Hockenson being a thing of beauty. Now, these DBs will be looked at to try and slow down Jalen Hurts and Co. In the Week 14 matchup at MetLife Stadium, with McKinney and Jackson both out, Hurts finished the day with 217 yards and two touchdowns, hitting A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith for scores.

Those two wideouts in particular have big-play potential whenever the ball is snapped. The Giants secondary as a whole is going to have a tough time trying to limit Smith, Brown and others. Both McKinney and Jackson haven’t been on the field to take on the Eagles this season, but something tells us they’ll rise to the occasion later this week.
