That’s it, we have just about had it with Colin Cowherd. Over the past few weeks, this guy has fired up some insane takes on the NY Giants. Remember when he said Brian Daboll’s job was safe because he powered the Giants to the postseason in his first year? Yeah, like he was ever on the hot seat you clown.
Now, Cowherd is back in our lives and he’s going to have your blood pressure through the roof with his latest thoughts on the team.
Cowherd, in insane fashion, said that most of the guys who have come up big for the Giants in their history are ‘forgettable’ players, and he included legendary tight end Mark Bavaro on the list. Disgusting.
Colin Cowherd disrespecting Giants legend Mark Bavaro is a fireable offense
This dude can’t be serious. Not only is Bavaro beloved across New York and New Jersey, but he’s considered one of the best tight ends who isn’t in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Bavaro very well could be in Canton had injuries not had such a negative impact on his career. Regardless of that, he won it all twice with the G-Men, making two Pro Bowls and earning two First Team All-Pro honors.
That’s not good enough for you, Colin? Giants fans are never going to forget his time with Big Blue, including the 1986 and 1987 campaigns. In ’86, Bavaro caught 66 balls for 1,001 yards and four touchdowns.
Then in ’87, he posted 55 receptions for 867 yards and eight touchdowns like a total boss. In total, Bavaro played six seasons with the Giants, helping the organization win the Super Bowl in 1987 and 1991.
Ask anyone about Bavaro and they’ll tell you he’s what being a New York Giant is all about. Bavaro is a fan favorite and that’s not going to change. For Cowherd to slap him in the face like this is a joke. Cowherd gets paid millions of dollars a year, yet he can’t do five minutes of research. He should be ashamed of himself.
