The NY Giants were the ultimate underdogs headed into this year’s NFL postseason. Going into the 2022 campaign too, there were plenty of analysts who had New York winning very few games in Brian Daboll’s first year as head coach. Even if someone doesn’t like Daboll’s squad, they have to respect the G-Men.

Everyone always talks about getting hot at the right time, and well, the Giants are absolutely rolling right now. New York arguably has the most momentum headed into the Divisional Round among the remaining playoff teams. So, could this team actually beat the Eagles on Saturday and then eventually book a trip to the Super Bowl? We think so. Here’s why:

4. Brian Daboll has the G-Men prepared for the moment

We have seen many teams achieve much success in the regular season, but they see a quick exit in the postseason. A very recent example is the 13-4 Vikings who got upset by New York this past weekend.

Daboll is in his first season as head man, but it seems as if he’s been coaching for over a decade with how prepared New York looked in the NFC Wild Card Round. All season long the Giants have found ways to win games by not making mistakes, and that’s exactly what they did in Minnesota. In fact, they played their best game all season long.

In almost every must-win game for New York this season, they’ve shown up. The shine from his bald head has shined onto the players. Daboll has made it clear that no matter what the experts say, the roster deserves to be in this spot. He is locked in right now, and it has certainly seemed contagious to both the players and coaches.

Both times in the regular season the Giants have fallen victim to the powerhouse Eagles. Jalen Hurts has played at an MVP level, and he will certainly be an issue. New York is headed into the Divisional Round with great momentum, all while Philadelphia has been at home waiting. Daboll will certainly take advantage of this and have his players fired up and ready to go.
